We all know boys and girls are different, learn at different rates and each seem to do better in specific areas than others. But did you know that some of these differences
are genetically wired from conception?
I spoke with Laura L. Brown, of Lotus LifeWork, a coaching and training company specializing in gender dynamics, which provides cutting edge, neuroscience-based, interactive programs and products regarding gender-based learning.
There's no denying that the male and female brain are wired differently from the minute a child is conceived due to hormonal brain chemistry. Being aware of those differences matters a great deal, making it much easier to understand the reactions we get from our kids (and others in our lives) and how we can avoid frustration.
During our discussion we explored how having a grasp on this information makes a world of difference in our ability to communicate with the opposite sex, interact with others, and form relationships. Knowing what each gender pays attention to provides us with strategies to motivate each and obtain the best results possible when learning anything new.
